Hi,

I just wondered if anyone here uses Dragon Software at work?

I called Access to Work last year and had an assessment just after Christmas, and as an outcome they advised and granted some money for this software due to the constant pains and swellings in the fingers. At last, last week I found the time to inquiry to get it delivered to me at work and sorted training dates, as i'm currently off on holiday this week it should be waiting on my desk for my return hopefully Smile

My fingers have been very sore and painful, and my brain with spelling has been useless. I had put it don to baby brain but don't think I can get away with that excuse as my little one turned 3 yesterday.

Although no-one likes going back after holiday I'm really hoping this will help me a great deal BigGrin

well I returned to work today and have now installed the Dragon software on my work and home computer.:-) I have sent a few e-mails with the Dragon and am currently trying it at home, think it's going to take a while to get used to but hopefully it will reduce the swelling in my little pinkies ;-)

Hi

My daughter, who has RA, used this for all her University work. It coped with a degree in Philosophy... (for which I'm the proud mum as she got a First Class Honours!). She didn't spend that long training it and she found it brilliant for all her essays and dissertation. She said it learned quite quickly.

My son also uses it for his national diploma in Game keeping and wildlife management! It took a bit longer to train, as he does have to use very unusual vocabulary. He's dyslexic and it meant that I no longer had to spend hours proof reading his work. In a whole assignment it usually only made one mistake!! (compared to the one every other word when he typed it himself!!)

I've used it in the past, but at the moment I can type OK. It's worth spending time doing the training... only about an hour.

We also have a 'better quality' mic.

It'll make such a difference to you at work.

Anne xx
